Love. Read. Learn!

What Happens at a Love.Read.Learn! Training?

Our Love.Read.Learn! parent literacy training workshop is geared to teach parents about the activities they can do with their baby, toddler, pre-school, kindergarten or elementary school child to help them become successful learners.  Love.Read.Learn! workshops provide parents with hands-on learning and real-life methods to use at home with their kids.

"Having parents teach specific literacy skills to their children was two times more effective than having parents listen to their children read and six times more effective than encouraging parents to read to their children.”

Excerpt from: The Effect of Family Literacy Interventions on Children’s Acquisition of Reading - a 2006 publication of the National Institute of Literacy (http://www.nifl.gov/)

Each Love.Read.Learn! workshop is led by a professional trainer who provides parents with down-to-earth and easy to understand information about the stages of child development and age-appropriate educational activities.  Parents leave the workshop enthusiastic about practicing these fun learning activities at home with their own kids.

“Also, training parents to teach their children reading with specific exercises produces the greatest reading gain."
